Idol Survivor: "Where Once The Sky"
Mar. 26th, 2021 01:09 pmWhere Once The Sky
idol survivor | daily-fic challenge, day 7
~ * ~ * ~ * ~
An empty blackness
stills the earth
where once the sky
held stars,
and brought the moon
to stir our dreams.
The darkness
is a plague
of dread, of doubt,
the truth behind it
all obscured.
What is now lost,
and what forgotten?
We gaze and search,
and we wish
for simpler times,
for astral patterns
spilling forth
How might the seeker
become the seer?
We would welcome
answers, omens,
if only we could,
if only the questions
had not finally
grown too vast.

Date: 2021-04-02 02:38 am (UTC)There's an old saying, "Don't borrow trouble."
You could take mean, don't worry about things that don't concern you. But I often think of it as meaning, don't get into a worry spiral over what-ifs of what-ifs of things that haven't even happened yet.
It's one thing to try to prepare for the worst, but to panic yourself over it when you don't even know whether it's going to happen? Especially if it's unlikely? No. DO what you can, instead of fretting over what you can't control. :)
