Idol Survivor: "Where Once The Sky"

Where Once The Sky
idol survivor | daily-fic challenge, day 7

~ * ~ * ~ * ~

An empty blackness
stills the earth
where once the sky
held stars,
and brought the moon
to stir our dreams.

The darkness
is a plague
of dread, of doubt,
the truth behind it
all obscured.

What is now lost,
and what forgotten?

We gaze and search,
and we wish
for simpler times,
for astral patterns
spilling forth

How might the seeker
become the seer?

We would welcome
answers, omens,
if only we could,
if only the questions
had not finally
grown too vast.

I absolutely adore this!

"An empty blackness
stills the earth
where once the sky
held stars,
and brought the moon
to stir our dreams."

And this,

"How might the seeker
become the seer?"

And the rest is beautiful, too. <3

See you Sunday evening!

Not yet. I have about four hours and I'm almost finished. Just a few more chores and it's done! And, for the first time since I started keeping Passover and Unleavened Bread I've actually managed to do more of the physical prep. It feels so good! <3

Blessings to you and yours! *Hugs*

Still so much uncertainty everywhere. Maybe it will be better soon.

Yours and flipflop_diva's entries for this day are very similar to each other - it's interesting how it seems to work out that the three of us, when searching blindly for something to write about, find it in similar themes. That's the cool thing about this whole challenge, I think; at a certain point, we're down to just thinking about the human experience and life in general.

Sometimes life really does seem overly vast and complicated, and sometimes it seems very relaxed and easy. I think it's fun sometimes to think about those questions that just don't have any answers, but it certainly does complicate things. It's better for me to just say, "Okay, that's a question I'll never have the answer to, so I just won't worry about it." If only I could get my husband to do the same!
