This guy very much reminded me of my Dad. He would get an idea in his head, and you could not budge him from it. Of the many houses he bought (since we moved every few years), often there was some obvious flaw that he would overlook, and if you brought it to his attention he would say it didn't bother him. Then, 3-4 years later, that flaw became the thing he could no longer cope with! And he'd start looking for a new house...
The kicker was the place where he hadn't done due diligence, and just wondered why such a large, fancy house was priced so well. The first night we spent in it, there was this godawful roaring and then klaxon bellow from what sounded like a train about to run right through the house itself.
It turned out that the small 'bluff' the house sat on was right above the train tracks, and that was why no one else had already bought it. :O
