I dreamed...

I dreamed that I was in a group of adults being taught as first graders by Mariska Hargitay. She was making us diagram sentences, which seemed REALLY inappropriate for that age, even though we were all grown-ups who should have known how to do it. \o?

I finished Dungeon Crawler Carl, which was lots of fun. Now I'm reading the second book. There are several of these, so I might have to take a break from the series here and there.

Viewing-wise, I mentioned a while back that we'd added Ashes to Ashes (Amazon and Britbox) to our list of TV series to watch. It's a follow-on to Life On Mars, and is really just an excuse to let the Gene Genie and his sidekicks run riot in London. We are all on board with that idea, and have just started Season 2. :D We also finished Continuum (Amazon) a couple of weeks ago, and the conclusion was satisfying even if that wasn't necessarily the ending we were hoping for. But it made sense, and was consistent with the series. Always an important factor, especially for shows involving time travel.

And finally, we're flying to San Diego to visit our daughter this weekend. Nervous about what's happening with the TSA and wait times, but very excited about seeing her! \o/

Now you have me wondering if I can remember how to diagram a sentence, lol! I loved doing it. I think we stopped when I reached 6th or 7th grade, maybe?

Have a wonderful visit with your daughter! I don't know which airport you'll be going to but from what I understand not all of them are having massive line issues.

I think this came up in earnest for me in 5th grade, and in the dream I was thinking that it was a 3rd grade subject-- so clearly not first grade! Plus, Mariska's sentence examples had things like compound subjects and compound indirect objects. Sheesh!

I'm hoping neither the Sacramento airport (which is a modest size) or the San Diego airport (apparently bigger) will have issues? Our daughter seems to think SD is large enough that we'll want a wheelchair for HalfshellHusband, which means the return trip will go through a shorter TSA line. So, that's good.

In a wheelchair sense, our worst experience was the Honolulu airport. We came from Sacramento (where we didn't need it) into a VERY large airport where it seemed like the distance from the arrival gate to the car rental pickup desk was almost 1/2 mile. And it was warm and incredibly humid, which aggravated HSH's CHF enormously. We're much better prepared for the potential issue with the destination airport now. :O
