I'm sad too but not surprised. Usually when there's a prolonged illness it's rare for a pope (at least in our lifetime thus far) to recover. Given that most popes have been in their late 60s through 80s when elected... that's another factor too.

I'm what's called a fallen catholic, btw. Last time I went to Mass was at a niece's wedding 4 years ago, lol.
